Do I have to deploy an agent for Pulse DMS?

Yes. For the best and most in depth management, an agent is needed to allow deep discovery on the host and to provide a robust software delivery mechanism. We use the same agent that Microsoft uses in the System Center Configuration Manager solution.

Where does Microsoft's Modern Management approach fit with Pulse DMS?

Pulse DMS fits neatly to accompany Microsoft’s modern management vision. Modern management looks to provide customers with cloud-based management capabilities. As the trend towards increases in SaaS app usage and a decrease in 32-bit applications, modern management tools such as Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory may fulfil customers entire needs once on Windows 10. Pulse DMS provides customers with a cloud-based management platform, but allows customers increased mixed-estate management, OSD migration, policy and software distribution capabilities in comparison to current Microsoft Intune.

Is Pulse DMS an annual subscription or perpetual license?

Pulse DMS is a per device, annual subscription licence. Device count can be easily increased and decreased by a true-up or true-down which is co-termed at the annual renewal.

Can I purchase for multiple years?

Yes. We have options for 3 & 5 year upfront subscriptions, please contact us for further information.

Is Support included in the subscription?

Yes. Support is included in the cost of the subscription. Additional onsite or remote training packages are also available if required.

Can I add additional devices at a later stage?

Yes. You can add additional devices at any time. The new devices will be added to your subscription on a quarterly basis and then co-termed to the annual renewal date.

Can I reduce the number of devices managed on my subscription?

Yes. At the annual renewal the number of devices can be reduced, with the new annual subscription set at the new lower device count.

Is there a cost-penalty for adding additional devices later?

No. Pulse DMS is designed to be a flexible subscription that is easily managed. Additional devices are added at quarterly true-up points. Pricing for these additional devices is co-termed to the annual subscription renewal date with no penalty charges.

How do you count the number of devices?

Device count is based on the total number of devices with an operational Pulse DMS client installed.

Is there a minimum number of devices?

Yes. The minimum online subscription purchase count is 50 devices for Pulse DMS.
