Do I have to deploy an agent for Pulse OM?
Yes. For the best and most in depth monitoring, an agent is needed to allow discoverys and monitors to run and query the host to find out exactly what’s going on. We utilise the Microsoft Monitoring Agent (MMA) to do this, the same agent that Microsoft uses in the Azure cloud.
Do I need any on-premise infrastructure?
Maybe… While it’s perfectly possible to monitor directly from the Pulse OM environment, sometimes a gateway server on-premises may be more appropriate, such as for limited exposure of internal systems to the internet and for data upload compression. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Can I delegate monitoring to certain users?
Within Pulse OM you can create sub companies within your main company to reflect individual business units and associate computers to them for delegated management. There is also a role model within Pulse OM that allows you to set certain roles for performing actions and tasks.
